Jon Tester earned a rare “4 Pinnochios” from the Washington Post’s FactChecker by uttering this proclamation last week on Montana Public Radio: “Unfortunately, every logging sale in Montana right now is under litigation. Every one of them.” Um, not really, Senator. Forest Service officials in Montana say there are 97 timber sales under contract in the state.
